Dinky Gowen has been doing magic so long he thinks he learned his first magic
trick from Merlin himself. At the ripe old age of 5 his first magical experience
was Presto the clown, on a local television station. "I would watch Presto take
a imaginary fly and make it appear on this little black paddle. Then with a wave
of the hand it would vanish. I thought that was so cool".
A year later his mom bought
him a magic set at a little mom and pop store in Hodgenville, Ky. After
that the bug had set in. " Magic became my life, and I read every book I
could get my hands on about the art." At age 11 he finally gave his first
public performance at the local library. " They figured I had to know
something about doing magic shows since I had checked out every book on
the subject at least 10 or more times" He would even check out of school
and go to the local elementary schools and do shows.
Now days you
can find Dinky and his crew traveling all over the country performing over 600
shows per year. They have been featured on many television shows, radio talk
shows, and cable networks. Dinky's impressive resume also includes performing
amazing shows with some of the America's greatest magician's. He has happily
and successfully dedicated his life to the art of magic; the art of entertaining
you!
